Lillian Mary Duman, born December 21, 1924, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2018, just three
days before her 94th birthday. Daughters, Barbara, Kathleen and Rose, were there holding her hands
before and as she passed into her next life. Although, her children, Tom and Judy were unable to be
present, she was able to acknowledge their love by telephone before she was no longer able to respond.
Lillian was a resident of Healdsburg for nearly 70 years. She was married for 55 years to Richard (Dick) F.
Duman, who preceded her in death in 2000. She was a native of Nebraska and moved to Oregon as a
teenager where she met and married Dick on May 8, 1946.
Lillian is survived by her brother, Robert Weeder (Doris) of McMinnville, Oregon and her five children,
Barbara Korte (David), of Calistoga, California, Thomas Duman (Miriam) of Miami Lakes, Florida, Judith
Nicholls (Jim) of Eatonville, Washington, Kathleen Rogers (Chuck), of Healdsburg, California, and
Rosemarie Pierre (Joseph) of Benicia, California. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter,
Nancy, who passed away as an infant, her sister, Shirley Albeke and brother, Donald Weeder. She has
ten surviving grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Since moving to Healdsburg, Lillian was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She devoted her
life to God and family.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20 th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Windsor/Healdsburg
Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor. A rosary will follow at the mortuary at 6:00 PM.
A celebration of life will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church located at 208 Matheson St, Healdsburg on
Friday, December 21, 2018, at 2:00 pm which would have been her 94th birthday. Refreshments to
follow at St. John’s hall located next to the church. Burial services will be for the immediate family only.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the Marion House in Santa Rosa,
California for their attentiveness and loving care.
