2/14/1961 - 12/19/2018
Timothy “Tim” West, age 57, passed away peacefully at the family home in Santa Rosa, on
Wednesday, December 19, 2018. After a year of chemo and radiation treatments, and
fighting for life, cancer took its toll.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Viola West. He is survived by his
loving family and friends. We have omitted some personal details here, to honor Tim's
belief/distrust in 'the system'; as those who knew him will appreciate.
Tim was a trustworthy and loyal man and if you were lucky enough to be his friend, you
had a friend who would do anything for you, and at any time.
Tim grew up in west Santa Rosa and graduated from Piner High School in 1979.
He worked at Dutch Boy Paints for close to 30 years until he went off on his own doing
freelance work in several fields. He was an accomplished welder, woodworker and re-
finisher, and Handyman. He could repair almost any piece of equipment. If he needed a
tool or part that was no longer available, he would make it from scratch. He dabbled in
electronics, fine jewelry making and a myriad of other interests. He also grew the most
delicious vegetables in his garden every year. Yum!
His Family, friends and loved ones deeply mourn his passing.
A time of remembrance and celebration of his life will be held in the spring/summer of
2019. Please leave a comment and contact information on the Windsor/Healdsburg
Mortuary site if you would like to be notified.
Should you wish to make a donation in Tim's name, please consider Sutter Hospice
(sutterhealth.org) and Forgotten Felines (forgottenfelines.com). Tim greatly appreciated
Sutter Hospice's personalized care and he always had a soft spot for cats.
