It is with great sadness that the family of Veronica Sylvia Gomez Mariscal, also known as “Chiva”, was called home on December 17, 2018 at the age of 42. Veronica was born in Santa Rosa, California on January 16, 1976 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
As a child Veronica played the clarinet and the flute. Since a young age she had a fond love for music. Veronica was notably known for her songbird spirit that shined at every family gathering. She was always ready to sing her heart out for family and friends. Singing came to her naturally and she never shied away from the mic. After graduating high school Veronica continued her studies and pursued a career as an Oral Surgeon Assistant. She had a selfless spirit and was always willing to help others. Veronica was a hard-working and dedicated
mother to two beautiful children. She was very proud of her children’s accomplishments and provided them with endless love and support. Veronica took great pride in being a mother
and was always ready to share a story about her children. “Chiva” will forever live in our hearts and never be forgotten.
Veronica is survived by her two beautiful children Graciela Mariscal and Pedro Alfredo Mariscal, her parents Veronica Anguiano and Pedro Pena Gomez and, her siblings Margarita Chavez, Pedro Gomez, Ivette Anguiano, brother in-law Vicente Chavez, 4 nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and dear friends.
“When tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me I’m right here in your heart.”
Veronica was laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery in Windsor, CA.
