The Scott family announces with deep regret the passing of their matriarch, Enid Jane Scott, who entered into heaven on February 6, 2020 in Santa Rosa with her daughter by her side. Enid was born on December 1, 1926 in Hyde Park, North Dakota to James W. Gainer and Margaret P. Gainer and was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and seven brothers.
Enid came to Santa Rosa at the age of 18, where she was employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 31 years as a Supervisory Budget Analyst. After retirement, she worked part-time for several years as a bookkeeper. She was a Moose Lodge member for many years, where she enjoyed playing bingo regularly through her 80s in the company of her friends.
Enid was the matriarch and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Steve; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Nancy; grandchildren Alice, Cris and Sean, Eddie, Shelly, Brianna & Paul, and Chelsea and Jacob; great-grandchildren Dan and Jenna, Alaina and Tony, Tony, Shelby, and Paisley; and great-great-grandchildren Liam and Logan.
Friends are invited to participate in a funeral procession on March 28, 2020 from Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Highway in Windsor, departing at 10:15 and arriving at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Avenue in Santa Rosa, for inurnment at 11:00. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Colonial Park Recreation Room, 66 Colonial Park Drive in Santa Rosa.
